We Are Ready for Our Castells Baptism!

June 6^th, 2022 is Whit Monday, a bank holiday in Germany, and we are travelling to Cologne for an event which was already planned for 2020 but had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.

Now the time has come! We are finally meeting our godparents Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia to celebrate our castells baptism. And we are doing so in the most dramatic setting: in front of the Cologne Cathedral!

Thanks to the invitation from the Association for the promotion of the town twinning between Cologne and Barcelona and the Catalan Cultural Centre of Cologne, we will do so as part of the celebration of the 3xUNESCO event. Being also welcomed by the Altstädter group, which represents the Rhineland Carnival, the UNESCO World Heritage will be present in the expression of Castells, the Rhinland Carnival and the Cologne Cathedral. We can’t wait for it any more!
